EAT Study

The EAT Study showed that including a diversity of potentially allergenic proteins (peanut, egg, wheat, dairy, fish, sesame) was safe in infants as young as 3 months of age. It further showed the rate of any food allergy was reduced by 2/3 in people who followed the inclusion protocol. At the same time, the study revealed notable challenges with this approach, in that fewer than half of those in the “early introduction arm” were able to successfully adhere to the long-term inclusion protocol.
