My child has eczema. Can I still use SpoonfulONE?

Yes. Children with eczema have a higher risk of developing a food allergy. Studies found that early exposure and food allergen introduction is particularly important for this group. Many children in our safety studies had mild to moderate eczema and reported no allergic reactions to SpoonfulONE. However, if your infant has severe eczema and/or an egg allergy, check with your healthcare provider before feeding SpoonfulONE.If your infant has severe eczema, AAP Guidelines recommend checking with your healthcare provider before feeding any food that contains peanuts, including SpoonfulONE.

If your child has mild or moderate eczema, studies found that early dietary exposure to a potential food allergen, like a peanut, is particularly important to reduce the risk of developing a food allergy (reference LEAP). Eczema is the #1 risk factor for developing a food allergy. Working to get foods commonly associated with food allergies into your infant’s diet should be a priority.
